Westhaven Estates is a subdivision is located in west Houston and nestled between the neighborhoods of Briargrove and Tanglewood. Its boundaries are Woodway to the north, Westheimer to the south, Nantucket to the east, and Potomac to the west. Westhaven estates is situated only eight miles west of downtown Houston and only one and one-half miles from the famed Galleria.
Originally established in the 1950s, prominent developers began transforming this single-family subdivision into a premiere neighborhood of garden homes and townhouses by the late 1970s. Large, upscale homes were built on zero lot lines to provide for less outside maintenance and larger square footage within.
There are currently in excess of 830 residences, and development is progressing steadily. Commercial enterprises and billboards are not allowed in Westhaven Estates, but full-service shopping centers featuring high-quality food markets, restaurants, pharmacies, coffee bars, bakeries, and health clubs thrive on the edge of this quiet, secluded neighborhood. The diversity of retail establishments, entertainment venues, and business complexes in the adjoining Uptown District provide a contrasting lively, urban atmosphere. In addition to the nearby indoor activities, Westhaven residents have immediate access to some of Houston’s most inviting open spaces for relaxation and exercise including Transco Park, Lake on Post Oak, and Memorial Park. These pleasant oases offer wide green park areas, fountains, walking and jogging trails, golf courses, tennis courts, and lush natural forest in the heart of the city.

Students living in Westhaven Estates attend Houston Independent School District. The following public schools serve Westhaven Estates Subdivision; Briargrove Elementary School, Grady Middle School and Lee High School
